The Gazprom Swan 60 Class is firing up for its final showdown of the 2015 circuit. Racing across four events since April, the class is now into final scoring to ultimately crown the 2015 Gazprom Swan 60 Champion. Competition has taken the global entries to Palma de Mallorca Spain, Scarlino in Italy for the Gazprom Swan 60 World Championship and St Tropez in France.
The contenders now face the toughest offshore race on the annual circuit starting in Flensburg, Germany on the 20th September and racing to Saint Petersburg, Russia.
The Nord Stream Race is an established offshore race its 4th edition having taken to the international stage in 2012. Teams will face 800 nautical miles in the Baltic Sea, non-stop following the Nord Stream gas pipeline.
Leading up to the 2015 Nord Stream Race the Gazprom Swan 60 Class will sail a charity race for the World Childhood Foundation. Saint Petersburg Yacht Club and the Norddeutscher Verein will invite VIPs and celebrities to take part on Saturday the 19th September.
The crowning glory for the 2015 circuit will be a glittering celebration in Russia's maritime capital, Saint Petersburg. As well as awarding the winner of the 2015 Nord Stream Race, the Gazprom Swan 60 Class will celebrate the 2015 circuit champion.
