There can be no better place to be this May Day bank holiday weekend than Salcombe. Bring your 12, bring your crew and bring the whole family to enjoy this beautiful Devon setting!

The open meeting starts with a briefing at 12.30pm in the Batson Dinghy Park on Saturday 30th April and Saturday's race kicks off at 2.30pm. On the Sunday the first race will start at 11pm with the second one after lunch. Finally there will be one race on the Monday morning at 11am. The full notice of race, along with the opportunity to pre enter, is available on the Salcombe Yacht Club website. Not only does entering online help out the Yacht Club but you will also get a discount before the 22nd April!

Salcombe Yacht Club boasts estuary sailing at its best but is also offers all sailors a very warm welcome as well as outstanding food. There will be a 2 course meal plus coffee meal in the club at 7pm on Saturday night (£16.50 per person, child price/portion available). There will also be pasties delivered to the beach for Sunday lunch, between the races, £2.50 each. Make sure you pre-order these by 27th April by phoning the Yacht Club or emailing Jools.

A notoriously sociable event, Salcombe also offers activities for all of the family come rain or shine: whether it is ice creams on the beach or a look around the shops, a visit to Overbecks or a walk along the cliffs! There are plenty of accommodation options in the town as well as camping just outside.
