SuperFoiler - Fearless Young Gun Targeting Busselton Bullseye

The youngest professional sailor in the SuperFoiler Grand Prix has set his sights on clocking the fastest speed of the series to date at the Busselton event kicking off this weekend when Western Australia’s Geographe Bay plays host to leg four of the SuperFoiler Grand Prix.
“Not a lot scares me, you can’t be too worried about it when you are on a boat like this. Being fearless is probably a positive but you have to know the limits also,” said 20-year old bowman Harry Morton who helped lift Kleenmaid to a second-placed race finish on the Gold Coast.
“We feel like we could send the boat a bit harder and clock in a few new top speeds,” said Morton, “Sometimes we play it a bit safe but we actually had a talk and said we have to start matching it with the others and hopefully Busselton is where we get it all together.”
The multiple world champion, who labelled his Kleenmaid SuperFoiler as ‘state of the art’, evealed he wasn’t deterred being part of the youngest team on the water – and that he was relishing the challenge of competing against the best sailors on the planet – some twice his age. “It has been awesome, on and off the water. Everyone is bonding together well,” said the New South Welshman, “They probably have a bit better technique, but being young definitely does help.”
“It is small things putting us back in the fleet but if we can cut those out we should be back consistently at the front,” said Morton who shares his birthday with American Independence Day, “We can push a lot, lot harder and get some more top three finishes.”
Euroflex leads the overall race for the Ben Lexcen trophy by seven points ahead of tech2 and Pavement who are locked on 11 in a tie for second. Record Point and iD Intranet are tied for fourth while Kleenmaid sits just 12 points off the overall series lead.

Saturday and Sunday’s racing will be livestreamed on www.superfoiler.com The series makes its television premiere on 7mate this Saturday and Sunday with the Adelaide leg debuting at 11.30am local.
