Block your calendar for 5:30 pm Saturday as the Whitsundays Clipper Race Carnival comes to life around the country with Queensland Weekender! The vessels were moored at Abell Point Marina as Airlie Beach came to life to celebrate the crews and the seaborne life.

Tune into Channel 7’s Queensland Weekender this Saturday at 5:30 pm for a fabulous feast of the Whitsundays! Presenter Chris Parsons was the ‘man on the scene’ at the Whitsundays Clipper Race Carnival, in January, which was a whole-of-region celebration for the Clipper Round-the-World Yacht Race.

Chris takes you behind the scenes for a firsthand look at the thrills and spills of the Rodeo by the Reef, the splendour of the Fish D’vine White on Whitehaven Long Lunch, the excitement of the Whitsunday Foodservice Progressive Cruise Lunch and the Bendigo Bank Clipper Race Welcome Party, which was the official welcome for the crews.

This segment, on Saturday, will also be aired right around the country, providing invaluable reach and coverage for the Whitsundays. Don’t miss it!
