Seldén Mast Ltd is delighted to be announced as the title sponsor for the SailJuice Winter Series 2018/19.
Seldén Mast was handed over the sponsorship baton from GJW Direct, who have been title sponsors for six consecutive years, at the recent RYA Dinghy Show following the current series' prize giving.
The seven race SailJuice Winter Series is based around the UK's biggest winter handicap events. With over 160 different classes participating across the series many sailors consider this series one of the main goals of their winter racing. With great prizes on offer, it attracts some of the best sailors in the country to compete against each other.
A prize winner himself in the 2017/18 series Seldén Mast Ltd Managing Director, Steve Norbury said: "I have done a few of the series and what really strikes me is the variation and number of people competing, the clubs that it goes to and the classes that it brings in. It's all about participation and I think that SailJuice is really important for bringing people together and increasing the participation in the sport."
Mr Norbury went on to praise GJWDirect for supporting the series over the last few years: "I would like to thank GJW for promoting the event the last few years. They have done a fantastic job and everyone who competes owes them a gratitude for that. It is with great pleasure that Seldén take that forwards and I hope that next year is a great year and we have a lot more competitors."
The SailJuice Winter Series is nearing its 10th anniversary and the team behind these successful winter racing events are working on developments that they believe will one day take handicap racing to an even more interesting place than it is today.
Founder and co-organiser of the Series, Andy Rice, commented: "It's really exciting to welcome Seldén on board as our new title sponsor. Seldén have recognised the almost unrivalled opportunity to reach the full breadth of the dinghy racing scene through this one Series. Added to that is the fact that there is not much other racing going on during the winter months, so the Series has become THE place to get in some really high quality competition. Seldén have come in at an exciting time."
