Superyacht Australia is ensuring all the key issues facing the industry will be on the table at the Australian Superyacht, Export and Commercial Marine Conference (ASMEX) being held 21-23 May at the Intercontinental Sanctuary Cove. Key government regulators from Australian Border Force, Customs visa section, Biosecurity, Marine Safety Queensland, Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority and others will be on a panel ready to respond to industry questions.

M Edwards spokesperson for Superyacht Australia said "Industry is asking for consistency in interpretation of regulations and recent discussions with government regulators looks set to see government work with industry towards this goal. We have specifically invited key regulators to ASMEX this year as it is critical we are all sending the same message to superyacht owners and captains about the rules, regulations and processes to enter Australia."

ASMEX is once again virtually sold out with registrations continuing to come in every day from across Australia. The conference will delve into all aspects of the Superyacht industry looking at the current infrastructure, capability and requirements for the future. AEC consultants who undertook the Superyacht industry economic impact study in 2016 will deliver a presentation on a strategy for the industry providing the opportunity for all delegates to have further input.

With the Americas Cup coming down under, this event is set to provide opportunities for the Australian Industry and the entire Pacific region. Jamie MacPhail, MD Pantaenius will talk about these opportunities and what trends Pantaenius, a major superyacht insurer is seeing in the Asia Pacific region. Peter Busfield, CEO NZ Marine will update delegates on the planning in NZ for this significant event.

M Edwards stated "It is also exciting that 2018 will see the timely launch of a new edition of the Great Southern Route, a publication showcasing our region and providing the necessary information to make the journey down under as easy and attractive as possible. Hillary Buckman from Ocean Media will be on hand during the conference to discuss the publication and is keen to get industry more involved and provide the Australian industry greater exposure in the publication."

Tourism Australia representatives will also be on hand throughout the conference to understand more about the superyacht industry and how they can support the industry's marketing efforts.

Anyone involved in any aspect of the superyacht industry should be in attendance at this conference to understand exactly what is happening in the industry and what the key growth factors will be, plus the networking will be second to none. The social activities will allow industry to meet with their peers, develop alliances and take advantage of the opportunities that now exist in this industry.
