Zhik's new Microfleece™ wetsuits offer a range of light, high-stretch, minimalist neoprene suits that are designed for different levels of sailing and watersports activities in warmer weather. Developed with 3D modelling and body mapping technologies, the suits provide an ergonomic fit that moves easily with your body.
For unrivalled flexibility and comfort, the Microfleece X range is made from Zhik's lightweight 1mm super-stretch neoprene and lined with fast drying Microfleece™ for insulation during less active periods, such as between races. Despite its slim thickness, Microfleece X keeps you warm in cooler conditions and cool in warm conditions. Additionally, to keep your core warm key panels are lined with Hydrobase™, a super-quick drying thermal fabric developed for Zhik's ocean wear.
Joining the range of men's and women's Skiff Suits, are new long sleeve Tops for an added layer of warmth, and a unisex long-leg Pant. Knee and seat panels are protected with Zhiktex™ II, a robust, highly abrasion resistant 3D knitted textile which is highly durable whilst maintaining high flexibility and stretch.
Internal ZiBand® leg and arm seals protect from water gushes up sleeves and leggings, and create a sealed connection with your gloves and boots. Plus, Zhik's patented Loo Rip™ seal is easy to use when nature calls, yet prevents unwanted water flushing into the suit too.
The new Microfleece V range gives water adventurers the most versatile options and is primarily aimed for entry level enthusiasts looking to take their gear up a notch. With great manoeuvrability and key elements from the Microfleece X range, Zhik delivers a premium entry product enabling the step up to the latest in wetsuit technology.
The Microfleece V range comprises of men's and women's Skiff Suits, Tops, long Pants and Shorts. Offering a streamlined approach to wetsuit design, these 1mm neoprene suits feature targeted super-stretch neoprene paneling, with special attention to the shoulders and upper body. This allows extra stretch when necessary, such as ducking under low booms. The superior abrasion resistant Zhiktex II™ is integrated on the rear and knees. Using the same 3D body mapping fit as the X range, flat locked seams ensure extended comfort and reduced wear over time.
The Microfleece V Top is particularly useful for more than just one water sport and can be worn under a Dinghy Smock or waterproof top, if the wind comes up and conditions cool down.
Like the Skiff Suits, the Microfleece V long Pants are protected with Zhiktex II™ abrasion resistant panels. The Pants are popular with hiking sailors and can be teamed with a variety of tops including Zhik's Avlare® water-shedding shirts in hot weather. Microfleece Shorts are a great asset in your kit bag too, being ideal for SUP and windsurfing as well as warm weather sailing.
