Round 2 of the Solution Travellers Trophy was held on 23/24 June at Felpham SC. A civilised 2pm start on Saturday allowed plenty of time for boat fettling while the sea breeze built.

In Race 1, Kevin Clark was uncharacteristically keen on the start line and found himself called back, only to regret the time spent tuning Jack Turnbull's rig as Jack sailed into a commanding lead. Kevin managed to pull his way back up to second place but was unable to catch Jack. Martin Tubb held onto third. Race 2 saw Kevin get away with a clean start and hang onto the lead while it was Jack's turn to take second. Martin once again held third.

Sunday dawned with the much promised lighter airs which brought Mitchell Campbell and Peter Fisk into the mix at the front end of the fleet, taking first and second respectively in Race 3. Jack Turnbull followed in 3rd. In Race 4, Kevin Clark managed to finish ahead of Mitchell Campbell in second and Tony Lord, having listened closely to the advice he was given on Saturday night, came home in third.

There was a bit of head-scratching going on during the lunch break as Jack tried to work out where he would finish if he stayed on shore to watch the England game. Having realised that it was all still to play for on the water and not so much on the pitch, the whole fleet went out for Race 5.

Mitchell earned another first with Jack in second and Kathryn Clark following behind in third. As the wind dropped for Race 6, Kathryn got a cracking start and lead the fleet for two laps. Mitchell was close on her heels and engaged her in a tacking duel on the final beat. Luckily for Kathryn, it was a short beat so she held onto the lead to the finish. Jack took third.

Thanks to Felpham SC for laying on wall-to-wall sunshine, a great party on Saturday night and fantastic sailing that saw every member of the fleet finish in the top three at some point. Mitchell Campbell took victory overall while Kevin Clark squeezed past Jack Turnbull on countback, to take second and third respectively.
