Key Yachting Ltd, the agent and distributor for the entire J Boats range and the 1720 Sportsboat throughout the UK and Ireland, will be exhibiting the hugely popular J/109 and the new J/100 on the south side of Pier C at the Lombard On The Water Boat Show at Malahide Marina from the 28th of April until the 1st of May.
There are now 57 J/109s sailing in UK and Irish waters. The model continues to thrive on the race-course under the IRC Rule and is a popular choice for serious racing owners. The growth and development of the J/109’s one-design circuit, coupled with the ever increasing number of J/109 owners based in Ireland, could see the first ‘Class’ events in Irish waters in 2007.
The sleek and fast 33 foot J/100 will also be on show at Malahide. Production of the J/100 has now been rolled out from the USA to Europe in order to meet demand for this model. The J/100 is ‘The best looking J Boat yet' according to Bob Johnstone, the co-founder of J Boats Inc. He should know, and he owns hull #1.
The 1720 Sportsboat (built by O’Sullivan Marine in Tralee) will sadly not be on show at Malahide on this occasion although the team from Key Yachting will be delighted to meet you to discuss the 1720s recent resurgence and Class development in Ireland and the UK.
Information will be available on all of the models in the J Boats range at Malahide – please do come along to see Key Yachting to find out more.
