Things have been heating up at the 2018 Para World Championships in Sheboygan. Paralympian and CST athletes John McRoberts and Scott Lutes have been showing off their team skills in the RS Venture Connect. Finishing top of their group, these Canadian sailors have booked their spot for Saturday, the winner-takes-all final.

The RS Venture Connect made its debut at the Para World Sailing Championships, drawing in 8 teams for this event. Sailors are assigned different boats each evening, making the first race of the day a bit challenging as every boat has its differences. "Although they're the same there's always a few things which are different and that was quite nice" mentions Scott.

Winning all 6 of their races on Wednesday, Scott comments "The result comes from the performance. We sailed well. We had good communication on the boat today, that's what we were looking for. We've accomplished all of our goals and the results are showing that, so we're very happy."

"We had a nice breeze out there, nice waves. Our boat felt really good, we were feeling good." John adds. The duo now gets to sit back and cheer on their teammates, as they head into the final on Saturday.

In the meantime, racing continues for sailors in the 2.4mR fleet. Currently leading the pack of Canadians is Paul Tingley sitting in in 5th, and Bruce Millar in 8th. Watch as they hit the water today!
