Cornwall-based sailing charity Turn to Starboard will host a charity dinner and auction in London this June. The fundraising event, sponsored by TheYachtMarket.com, will take place at the Drapers' Hall in central London on Thursday, June 20. Organisers hope to raise much-needed funds towards the charity's work supporting Armed Forces personnel affected by military service.

Guests at the black-tie event are invited to enjoy welcome drinks, a three-course meal and bid on a wide range of extraordinary auction prizes and experiences. Items include a private aerobatic display, a box at the Royal Albert Hall and a luxury holiday on a private island.

Turn to Starboard CEO and founder, Shaun Pascoe, said: "We are really excited to host our first-ever London-based charity dinner and auction. The event will provide a fantastic opportunity to raise vital funds and awareness of our work supporting injured veterans from all across the UK through sailing.

"As a charity, we rely almost entirely on fundraising and grants, so events like this help us to raise the funds that go towards ensuring our service personnel affected by military service get the vital support they need. It's a huge honour to host the event at such a prestigious location and we're looking forward to ensuring all our guests have an incredible evening."

Turn to Starboard uses sail training to support Armed Forces personnel affected by military operations from its base at Falmouth in Cornwall. Launched in 2012, the charity believes sailing has a therapeutic effect on those affected by military operations and has helped many gain RYA sailing qualifications to help start new careers in the marine industry. The charity recently reached a major milestone after providing 2,500 sailing opportunities to injured veterans and their families.

Located in the heart of the City of London, Drapers' Hall boasts magnificent interiors and was once owned by Henry VIII. While steeped in history, the hall is recognisable from films and TV programmes such as The King's Speech, The Apprentice and The Great British Menu.

Tickets cost £250 per person or £2,000 for a table of ten, and the price includes a welcome drink and three-course dinner. The evening will start at 6.45pm before dinner at 7.30pm, followed by the prize auction.
