Noble Marine, a leading personal lines pleasure craft insurance intermediary, has returned to independent ownership following its sale from Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance plc ("RSA") to Noble Insurance Group Ltd ("Noble Insurance"), a newly formed venture. The transaction has now completed.

Originally founded in 1989, Noble Marine provides cover across a wide range of pleasure craft including dinghies, motorboats, sailing yachts, narrowboats, jet skis, RIBs, rowing sculls and sailboards. With a reputation for strong customer service and high quality products, the business manages all aspects in-house across sales and distribution, product development, underwriting and claims.

Products are distributed both directly to customers and wholesale via brokers. The business and its highly experienced and knowledgeable staff operate from the head office in Newark-on-Trent. As part of the deal, RSA remains the capacity provider of the existing pleasure craft scheme.

Henry Arundel and Ian McManus, Managing Directors of Noble Insurance, said: "We are excited to be the owners of such a well-regarded platform, with a great history and strong expertise in its core marine market. We look forward to working closely with the team to further enhance the customer proposition and drive growth."
