Albacore Internationals at Shelburne Harbour Yacht Club, Nova Scotia - Day 4

by Pauline Rook 29 Aug 2019 05:58 BST 24-30 August 2019

The battle at the top of the table continues between Neville Herbert with Mark Fowler and Raines Koby and Stephanie Mah. The difference is now down to just two points.

Koby and Mah won the first race today, on what was the scheduled lay day in a stiff sea breeze that filled in for the delayed start with Neville and Fowler second. Long courses of three triangles were set, really testing the stamina of the crews.

Tom and Ross Lonsdale were the emphatic winners of the second race with Neville holding off the pursuing boats for his second second place of the day.

The fabulous sunshine, good breezes, charming host town and many volunteers are making for a memorable event.

Action will be suspended Thursday to let a tropical storm pass by.

Results so far can be found here.
