A beautiful day and light winds welcomed Hansa sailors, crew and support from seven visiting clubs. There were 21 boats in total racing.

The sailors voted at the briefing to have three back-to-back races and a late lunch rather than two races, lunch and then two more races. This turned out to be a good choice as the weather turned in the afternoon and heavy rain set in whilst we all sat in the clubhouse enjoying tea and cakes followed by the prize-giving.

Thank you to all those who attended Burghfield and hopefully you enjoyed the day.

Apologies for the slight weed problem. Our 'Weed Warriors' spent all the previous week working long hours to clear lots away and our Egyptian Geese and goslings munched as much as they could but unfortunately could not clear it all - that's nature for you!
