Shooting Star participated in False Bay Yacht Club's Spring Regatta last weekend. We had rain with NW/SW wind on Saturday 21st and strong SE wind on Sunday22nd.

The boat was well prepared for the event and Brent Gray, Gerry Aab and myself sailed her. This is her fourth Spring Regatta-and everything came together nicely. This is the first time we have sailed with a full mainsail in all conditions --and we flew around the coarse.

We had many complimentary comments regarding her speed and performance from competitors. In the three round the can races on Saturday we finished first in all the races.

In the one round the can race and one medium distance race on Sunday we also ended up in the Lead. Five out of five - doesn't get much better than that. 1st Division 2 ORC.
