The Custom Rigging Frostbites at Kinsale Yacht Club finished in very challenging conditions with 19 - 21 knots, gusting 27 - 30 knots.

Seven Toppers entered the Frostbites, five of whom took to the water today. Hannah Akerlind took pole position and the Destiny trophy with Harvey Matthews 2nd and Frances Corkery 3rd. Edward Baker and Daniel Mallon retired before finishing. Given that the winds were at the top of their range the decision was made to send them home after the 1st race.

Francesca Lewis sailed her Laser 4.7 for the series, unfortunately no other Lasers sailed but this did not deter Francesca who persevered and completed the series.

There were eleven Squibs in the fleet. Allegro, Colm Dunne & Rob Gill, won the series with seven bullets and two 3rd places, which they were able to discard. Outlaw, Ian Travers & Keith O'Riordan were a close second with two 1st and five 2nd places. Longshot, Sean O'Riordan & Harry Lewis, were 3rd overall.

In Squib Echo positions were reversed with Outlaw 1st and Allegro in 2nd place. Sibu, Geraldine & Denis Kieran took 3rd.

Many thanks to Custom Rigging for sponsoring the event, Bruce & June Matthews for the use of Destiny as committee boat, to Race Officers John Stallard & Michele Kennelly and to all the RIB drivers and crew.
