The National 12 committee met virtually at the weekend to discuss, among other things, the impact of the coronavirus on the class. Going on current government advice, it seems likely that most events in the next 2-3 months will not go ahead.
A large number of sailing clubs have chosen to close or only to permit individual sailing. We are proactively contacting clubs to rearrange dates to later in the season, so please keep an eye on the N12 web site for new dates.
Immediately impacted events are:
- 29th March, Hamble Warming Pan is postponed
- 10th-11th April, Waldringfield Easter Egg is cancelled
- 26th April, Annandale Open Meeting - contacting the club about rescheduling
- 8th-10th May, Salcombe - contacting the club about rescheduling
Hopefully the crisis will be over by the summer and we'll have lots of sailing events to look forwards to.
Hope you and your families are staying safe and well.
