Over 30 Young 88 skippers compete in first e-Sailing raceday

The Young 88 Owners Association have been exploring options to fill the gap whilst we can’t get out on the water!

The Virtual Regatta Series was released on Saturday for its first race day Sunday, with over 30 skippers taking part in the first race day some changes had to be made quickly to allow the series to grow via the Virtual Regatta website.

Kicking of on Wednesday 1st April, 40 registered skippers will take part in some close racing with 20 boats in each fleet, competing in 10 races before moving to a finals series. This is the biggest one design regatta running in New Zealand this April, and with competitors from around the country as well as overseas (Sydney, UK, Poland) we are sure the racing will live up to the bumper boat racing the Young 88’s are known for!
