Transmarine, one of the UK's top chandleries, have confirmed that they will be at this year's Southampton Boat Show. As well as exhibiting at Stand B069, they will be providing a yacht for the Try-A-Boat section of the Show, and providing a rigid inflatable boat (RIB) for use by the press
during the event.
This is the first time that Transmarine has been involved with the Show
since its launch in early 2005. As the marine division of leading European
aviation supplier Transair, the company operates from premises in
Shoreham-by-Sea, and offers mail order and online buying facilities as
well as a well-stocked chandlery. At the Show, visitors to their stand
will have the opportunity to meet the team and view their latest mail
order catalogue as well as having the chance to win boating equipment.
Available at the Try-A-Boat berth will be Transmarine's Hanse 371 sailing
yacht. The boat was recently crewed by a team from the company during
Cowes Week, where they came 15th out of 61 entrants. The 371 was the first
of the extensive Hanse range to be designed by famous race yacht designers
Judel & Vrolijk. In 1999, it won Germany's coveted “Yacht of the Year”
award, an honour also achieved by several other Hanse boats over the last
eight years.
Transmarine are also a dealer for the Ribeye range of rigid inflatable
boats (RIBs). They will be providing a Ribeye 550 for press use during the
Show.
Transmarine stocks thousands of products from a whole host of
well-established brands designed for sailing, powerboating and other on
water activities including Dubarry, Musto and Garmin. For more information
about any of their products, visit www.transmarine.co.uk or Stand B069 of
the Southampton Boat Show, which takes place between 15th – 24th September
2006.
