Born in October 2020, the Yacht Club Isole di Toscana is preparing to face an intensive sailing season: from April to October, several events will see different classes of one-design yachts among the most prestigious in the world challenging each other in the Maremma waters.

Compliance with health regulations is the first requirement for the Yacht Club team, that is already at work to identify procedures and protocols, to be declined, based on current regulations. Attention to the environment and the commitment to organizing eco-sustainable events are the other great prerequisites of the 2021 season.

At Marina di Scarlino everything is ready to welcome high-level international sailing events.

"A season like the one we are about to host is the confirmation of the excellent work done in recent years, thanks to the synergy of the Municipality of Scarlino, the Nautor's Swan Global Service Scarlino shipyard and the Marina di Scarlino with its Resort. We are pleased that the sport of sailing - explains the General Manager of Marina di Scarlino, Stefan Neuhaus - represents a pivotal element for local economic development and for the growth of quality international tourist flows. "

The racing season of the yacht Club will start with a weekend dedicated to Swan One Design (9-11 April), during which about twenty crews between ClubSwan 50 and ClubSwan 36 will test their technical skills in the waters off Marina di Scarlino, to warm up for The Nations League 2021 circuit, which will see its start in the same waters.

The calendar will continue with the first stage of the Melges World League, which from this year will see the three top classes of the Melges shipyard united in a single event.
