Due to the current situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in the province of Quebec it is with great regret that Sail Canada announces the cancellation of Sail Central at Hudson Yacht Club which was originally scheduled July 22-25.

One of the major goals of the Sail Canada Regional Championships is to create an environment where youth sailors from each region can come together, to train, race, and learn from each other. Sail Canada does not feel it is possible to host Sail Central given the current coronavirus (COVD-19) situation in Quebec. The ultimate goal of Sail Canada during these challenging times is to keep all members of the sailing community healthy and safe.

This has not been an easy decision to make and Sail Canada would like to thank our host, Hudson Yacht Club.

Hudson Yacht Club is excited to host Sail Central in 2022 and celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Fruit Bowl Regatta.

Sail Canada will continue to work with Provincial Sailing Associations and Member Clubs to support ongoing development and training opportunities through the 2021 sailing season as regulations allow. We will communicate any updates as soon as decisions will be taken for the other competitions.
