Okalys on top followed by Section16. Rookies Fin1Racing win the last race of the day.
"Having a shore team member on board helps a lot as he can give us plenty of tips on what he knows about the boat. It's really helpful, it can make us improve massively before the Youth Foiling Gold Cup finals in Cagliari and at the same time get good points for the Persico 69F Cup ranking."
Arnaud Grange - Okalys Youth Project
"We came into the class with Fin1Racing to try out these boats as we're looking at different sailing opportunities, needless to say we're really enjoying it! There's a great setup as a championship and it obviously helps that this is a very exciting boat to sail!
For us as a team, the goal in this event is to try the boat and learn as much as possible for the future as, if we are going to join the full championship next year, we want to be able to perform well. As it looks now anyways, we're definitely in it to stay."
Allan Norrengaard - Fin1Racing
"Team Section16 called me as Umberto Molineris couldn't attend this event, but they still wanted a guy who knew the boat quite well. As a member of Team Young Azzurra - currently leading the Persico 69F Cup - having sailed on a Persico 69F for more than 85 days, they chose to call me as flight controller.
I think with Team Section16 we're doing a great job, since day one on water we really improved a lot and we consider ourselves happy with the work we're doing. Regardless of the rankings (which I didn't have the time to see yet) I'm very satisfied with today's racing."
Federico Colaninno - Section16
