Luxury Charter Group appointed central agent for MY Aurora

by Luxury Charter Group 6 Oct 2021 08:21 BST

Luxury Charter Group has been appointed Central Agent for the latest luxury charter yacht to join the Australian charter fleet, MY Aurora.

Named in honour of the Roman goddess of the dawn, Aurora is a 26-metre (84-foot) superyacht from the esteemed Moonen shipyard in the Netherlands, with a host of features that make her unique in the charter market.

Under the stewardship of new owners, Aurora has been meticulously refit from the hull-up in a project undertaken by the industry's most talented craftspeople.

Long-time charter clients of Luxury Charter Group, Aurora's owners have travelled extensively, chartering aboard superyachts and gulets in the Mediterranean.

They purchased Aurora with the intention of using her as a harbour and coastal cruiser, making the necessary upgrades to suit their aesthetic and lifestyle, but they found the vessel's potential compelled them to a grander vision.

For the design, they collaborated with architect Iain Halliday of BKH, renowned for fitout, conversions and refurbishments of inner-city icons such as the Rex Hotel, Arida, Dorchester, the Ikon and Kingsclere.

The rebuild involved the full gamut of marine specialists at Gold Coast City Marina & Shipyard, including Workshop 28, Lumark, Pacific Trim upholstery, Italian linen and Ralph Lauren fabrics from Analu, Antique carpets from Cadreys, the finest Burmese teak decks laid by O'Neill Shipwrights, as well as adding a foredeck dining space, aft deck bimini, new cinema, TVs, sound system and electronics, barbecue, day beds, umbrellas, tender and watertoys.

Now back on the water, a spectacular sight in the bays and moorings of Sydney Harbour and Pittwater, Aurora is ready to 'wow' discerning charter guests.

From three-night charters on Sydney Harbour and the idyllic waterways of Pittwater and the Hawkesbury River, to longer sojourns in the Whitsundays and islands of the Great Barrier Reef, Aurora invites guests to succumb to her charms and totally immerse themselves in a charter like no other.

Director at Luxury Charter Group, Jeni Tidmarsh said she is proud to operate as Central Agent for this exquisite charter yacht and looks forward to introducing her to Australian and international charter guests.

"Aurora offers a totally bespoke experience based on extraordinary food, wine, water sports, destinations and service. She's ideal for those seeking fascinating, personally tailored experiences, such as gourmet charters, or enjoy sunset cocktails at Manly Cove while penguins frolic in the shallows.

"Experiences can include a visit to the Pittwater pearl farm or diving among the magnificent coral bomboras in the Whitsundays."

The yacht is also an experience in herself. For up to eight charter guests, Aurora has an extraordinary variety of leisure spaces on deck. The huge hydraulic swim platform is a perfect launch pad for watercraft, throwing a line in or, at night, a romantic dinner à deux.

The aft deck provides a covered dining space with bar, while the foredeck is perfect for sun lounging or cocktails as the sun goes down. The flybridge has another dining space, as well as sunpads, barbecue and lounge.

Inside is where the opulence of Aurora's bespoke features shine, with furnishings and accessories sourced from around the globe. In the saloon, with lounge, bar, dining, entertainment system and library, the blend of European wallpaper, carpet and curated décor elements will enchant guests. The fully equipped galley kitchen boasts ZUG Swiss appliances and Liebherr wine fridge.

Below deck are the four superbly-appointed cabins. The master comprises king bed, ensuite, walk in robe, lounge and desk with make-up table. The other cabins are a VIP stateroom with private ensuite, plus portside twin and starboard double which can be converted to a twin, with additional bathroom. All bathrooms are kitted out with plush Turkish towels and toiletry products by Australian organic line, Grown Alchemist.

For fun on the water, Aurora has a 10-metre chase boat (optional extra), four-metre tender, a Seadoo GTi 300 max jetski, stand up paddle boards/sea kayaks, two Yamaha Seascooters, donuts, wakeboards, waterskis and snorkelling equipment. AURORA'S four crew are seasoned charter whose energy and enthusiasm match this impeccable and peerless charter yacht.

"Aurora is a magnificent addition to the Australian charter fleet and has already attracted interest," said Jeni Tidmarsh. "We are taking bookings for charters in Sydney and Pittwater in the lead up to what promises to be a busy summer season, and for the many and varied itineraries along the east coast into 2022."
