Jcurve crowned Italian J/70 Cup Champion

The grand finale of the 2021 Italian J/70 Cup Championship took place this past weekend in Punta Ala, Italy, a gorgeous seaside resort on the Mediterranean.

Hosted by Yacht Club Punta Ala, the event celebrated a multitude of winners, those of the finale as well as those of the J/70 Cup season championship.

For starters, it was Claudia Rossi's Petite Terrible- Adria Ferries team that won the J/70 Cup finale in Punta Ala with her team of Giulio Desiderato, Michele Paoletti, Matteo Mason, and Sofia Attili. Second was Antonio Sodo Magloire's Alice with team of Gherarducci Massimo, Nevio Sabadin, and Gabriele Benussi. Third was Luca Domenici's Notaro Team consisting of Diego Negri, Lorenzo Del Rio, Michele Mennuti, and Francesca di Gangi. Rounding out the top five were Alessandro Zampori's Das Sailing Team in fourth and Luis Albert's Patakin from Spain in fifth place.

In the twenty-eight-race overall J/70 Cup series it was Mauro Roversi's Jcurve that won by a mere nine points. Second was Domenici's Notaro Team and third was Zampori's Das Sailing Team. Rounding out the series top five were Rossi's Petite Terrible- Adria Ferries in fourth and the Russian Denis Cherevatenko's Joyfull in fifth place! Sailing photo credits- Zerogradinord Italy
