The Yellowfin Charity Classic happens this weekend!

by Yellowfin Yachts 30 Nov 2021 18:45 GMT December 3-4, 2021

This coming weekend, December 3rd and 4th, the seventh annual Yellowfin Charity Classic tournament takes place at the Bradenton Yacht Club.

Registration and the captain's meeting happen Friday night, with fishing on Saturday and a great party with live music, awards and a raffle afterwards. And all you have to do to enter is donate a new child's toy, to benefit the U.S. Marine Corps' Toys for Tots program.

As we always do, we'll have a 36 Yellowfin there on a trailer and the goal is to "Fill the Fin" with new toys. Make plans to stop by and join the fun, and please try to donate even if you don't plan to fish. It's all to benefit children in need and cash generated by the event goes to The Children's Home Network in Tampa, an amazing facility that houses, treats and counsels abused and neglected kids. This year, in addition to our awesome sponsors listed above, most of whom have supported the Classic from the beginning, we'd like to acknowledge two new, recent additions to that highly-valued list.

Penn Reels has donated 24 youth combo rods and reels to be distributed to kids at the event. And the Oceans Edge Resort and Oceanside Marina in Key West has donated a two night stay for free, which includes a boat slip for those two nights as well! Many thanks to Pure Fishing President Dave Bulthuis for getting those rods and reels to us on short notice, the kids will love them and surely put them to good use! And our gratitude goes out as well to Mike Bender and Liana Pyne at Oceans Edge for their generous donation. The level of commitment of the extended Yellowfin family never ceases to amaze us, thanks again to all of you who make his incredible event a reality!
