This weekend sees the return of the Blithfield Barrel winter race series. Round 1 saw some superb racing throughout the fleet & with the long-range forecast looking set for some more descent conditions, competitors should again look forward to some top-notch action.

The race team have tweaked the format at the request of the competitors, so we will now be running the same average lap race format but with the races back-to-back to avoid hanging around on the bank for too long.

The galley & bar team are prepped & will be serving lunches if required after the racing.

All events are run as one-off opens counting towards the overall 'Barrel', so whether you can only make the one meeting or sign up for the rest of the series, the Blithfield team look forward to welcoming you!

There will be spot prizes after each round spread throughout the fleets, thanks to this year's generous sponsors Hartley Boats & Birmingham Dinghy Services and Chandlery.

Entry fees are:

  • £10 per day for single handers (£30 for the whole series)
  • £15 per day for double handers (£45 for the whole series)
We also offer a very competitive winter membership package from November through to March & includes all the Barrel events for free.

See www.blithfield.org.uk for more details Notice of Race & Sailing Instructions.
