The 21st edition of the Rolex Swan Cup continues to deliver an exceptional level of competition. Close contests across all classes and excellent sailing conditions have characterized the three days of racing held thus far.
The entrants engaged in one design competition today completed two intense windward/leeward races whilst the other classes tackled scenic coastal courses of varying lengths. Renowned as one of the world's finest nautical environments, Sardinia's Costa Smeralda offered a perfect day's sailing.
All classes remain finely poised. The current leaders are:
Maxi: Plis-Play (ESP)
Mini Maxi: Flow (CAY)
Grand Prix: Crilia (GER)
Sparkman & Stephens: Shirlaf (ITA)
ClubSwan 36: Far Star (ITA)
ClubSwan 42: Nadir (ESP)
Swan 45: Blue Sky (ITA)
ClubSwan 50: Balthasar (BEL)
The Rolex Swan Cup, first held in 1980, unites three longstanding partners in Rolex, Nautor Swan and the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda.
Two days of racing remain, concluding on Sunday 18 September.
