A training centre, an essential prerequisite!

After creating the D-Crew, a "marketplace" for crew members, it was logical for the Diam 24 od class to set up a training centre in Port La Forêt in a way to prepare the innovative and exciting regattas season 2023.

Situated right next to a famous stretch of water, with qualified coaches and a welcoming and well-suited infrastructure, come for a week-end to prepare your season.

What's planned:

  • Coached sessions with 3 or 4 boats.
  • Themed session to work on weather, tactic and multihull sailing strategies
  • Master your references and tuning with a work on the "tuning guide"
  • Train your team for the 2023 season
  • Work collectively to foster a team spirit, progress as a group, share experiences with experts...
  • To prepare for the World Diam Tour 2023, or simply to check if the series could satisfy your competitive spirit.
  • In a convivial atmosphere, amongst crews and teammates, rival or not, at sea or on land come for a pleasurable weekend.

This training centre is to answer to the recent evolutions in sports sailing, to become an institution following the Diam 24 od practice in France. Other training centres are being planned in Saint Philibert and La Trinité: October 1-2 (3 registered), October 15-16 Catagolfe (3 pre-registered), November 5-6 and 19-20.

How to be part of it?

The Diam 24 od Class is taking care of the organisation, handling all coaches relations and providing a yard for parking space.

If you are not yet a boat owner:
The marketplace D-Crew allow crew member to find one or several teams to compete with (register with D-Crew here)

For the opening of the training centre, boat rentals are offered at discounted price.

And from Spring: The World Diam Tour France 2023

The company International Sport Events Consulting organises, in collaboration with la Classe Diam 24 od and shipbuilder ADH inotec, the World Diam Tour France 2023 (WDT FRA2023). Our Ambition is to develop a national challenge to lead to international regatas with a monotype multihull, considered as a reference.

This circuit is meant to be attractive, accessible and open to diversity: promising young sportspersons, students, amateurs, professionals or any sailors addicted to speed.

The WDT FRA2023 will be composed of 5 stages of 3 days between Avril and October. Those 15 days of competition will take place around nautical stadium and coastal racing. About results, two rankings will be followed during the season, a team ranking (by boat), an individual ranking for all participant.

The World Diam Tour will be a challenge that is eco-friendly, cost-controlled, accessible to all, and organised on waters suitable for regattas in iconic places in a way to allow mediatisation, which is in the interest of all practitioners. For the first year, the number of boats in the WDT FRA2023 will be limited to 12. The crews are made of 3 team members minimum to race and up to 6 in total in the team.
