Watch the riveting and inspirational documentary about the first female crew to sail around the globe at the National Sailing Academy (NSA) this Saturday, 15 October at 6pm.

Maiden tells the incredible feat of Tracy Edwards, then 24-year-old who assembled and skippered the first all-female crew to compete in the 1989 Whitbread Round the World Race. Tracy and her team overcame fifty-foot waves, icebergs and storms of sexism.

Stay after for the open mic discussion with Maiden's crew member and former NSA instructor Junella King and other women in sailing as they discuss the past and current highs and lows for females in a male-dominated sport. A Q & A session will follow.

Doors open at 6pm and donation: EC$25. All proceeds are in aid of sending the first NSA students overseas for the Caribbean Dinghy Championship. Food and drinks will be on sale at Island Fusion and the wine bar by Brydens with Aix Rose and Villa Aix Prosecco.

Don't miss the boat, secure your seat now. Filled with action, the film will keep you on the edge of your seat!
