Participants of the upcoming 75th annual Newport to Ensenada International Yacht Race - skippers and crew - are encouraged to attend at least one of these informative events that focus on safety, preparation, and racing strategy.

Respected SoCal sailor Bruce Cooper from Ullman Sails Newport Beach, his San Diego colleague Chuck Skewes, and Phil Herzfeld will present the updated program. These sailors offer years of race-winning know-how and insights that will help racers be prepared, to sail better and bring home more hardware. The content is particularly helpful for newcomers to the race, those who rarely sail overnight, or south to Mexico.

Topics also include sail-change strategies and best practices for overnight crew management, and even how to enter the Storm Trysail Club Team Racing competition.

To attend, click the link below and sign up at one (or more) of the following seminars:

  • January 25, - 7:00 pm - Silver Gate Yacht Club
  • February 16, - 7:00 pm - Dana Point Yacht Club
  • February 23, - 7:00 pm - Bahia Corinthian Yacht Club
  • March 8, - 7:00 pm - Seal Beach Yacht Club
  • April 5, - 7:00 pm - Del Rey Yacht Club

More than 25 yachts have already entered for this 75th anniversary year including John Brynjolfsson TP52 Saga, winner of three trophies in 2022 including President of Mexico, and one for having the best elapsed time for a first-time skipper.

N2E racers can choose the half marathon to San Diego, and the classic - all-time favorite course to Ensenada, Mexico.

Bring lots of questions and be prepared to have a nice evening with your fellow competitors and racer alike.

Registration is open and it is time to enter! Don't get left at the dock. Won't you join us for this history-making race?
