Sailing Chandlery to sponsor the SB20 and K6 UK Nationals at Torbay

by John Tabor 29 Jul 2023 11:20 BST 20-24 September 2023

Entries are now open to the K6 Nationals and SB20 UK Nationals and Sprint Championship, 20th - 24th September, at Royal Torbay Yacht Club. Enter now via the Royal Torbay YC website.

This year the SB20s and K6s are sharing the venue. We are pleased to announce that Sailing Chandlery, the UK based online chandlery, is sponsoring these championships. The Championships begin with a series of sprint races on the first day followed by a further three days of racing on this iconic former Olympic sailing venue

K6 Class Chairman, John Tabor, says: "It's great to have Sailing Chandlery on board supporting these two celebrated keelboat classes. Torbay will offer top sailing and race management. Sailing Chandlery as a top supplier and a great supporter of sailing, makes this a perfect match."

UK SB20 Secretary, Phil Tilley, says: "We are returning to Torbay as we know it will be a great event both on and off the water. We are expecting a good turnout and are very grateful to Sailing Chandlery for its support and look forward to great racing alongside our K6 friends"

Andrew Dowley, founder, Sailing Chandlery, says: "We are very excited to be able to sponsor the SB20 and K6 UK nationals this year. These are two fantastic keelboat classes and we are looking forward to seeing how the events pan out in Torbay later in the year."
