The Royal Ocean Racing Club received news of a severe fire in Falmouth Harbour, Antigua on October 3rd. This has caused the closure of several well-known restaurants, cafes and businesses in the proximity of the Antigua Yacht Club (AYC).

Commodore of the AYC Franklyn Braithwaite has confirmed that no one was injured and the AYC buildings are unaffected by the fire. The RORC sends best wishes to the owners and staff of the businesses that have been affected and hopes that they will be back in business for the RORC Caribbean 600.

The regatta schedule is unaffected by this terrible fire. Entries from the world-over are coming in for the 15th edition of the RORC Caribbean 600 which will also feature the 2nd edition of the RORC Nelson's Cup Series.

The RORC is working with the Antigua Yacht Club and the Antigua & Barbuda Government, along with our sponsors, partners and volunteers to host a special 15th edition of the RORC Caribbean 600.
