On 17th July 2019, Neil Peters transformed himself into a real-life superhero, Stick Daring, to undertake a journey of epic proportions. He tackled challenge after challenge on a near-impossible task to circumnavigate the treacherous coastline of mainland Britain in his fifty year old Laser dinghy bought for £50.

76 days 6 hours and 15 minutes later he completed his journey back where he started from: Eastbourne Pier, East Sussex.

Along the way he encountered terrible weather and massive seas, narrowly avoiding tragedy off the Mull of Kintyre, Scotland. He battled off aggressive seals and man eating flies at the Humber, and sailed across the Irish sea from Scotland to the Isle of Man and on to Wales.

His journey raised £20,000 for Prostrate Cancer UK.

His new 540 page book including 148 colour pictures and maps of the places and people he met along the way is now on sale for £18.99.
