Some years back, Leo acquired Tally Ho at the incredible price of just one dollar. Since then, Leo and his team have dedicated themselves to restoring the boat, starting from its very base.
Colligo Marine's contribution to this project was the provision of Colligo Marine Dux, prepared at Brion Toss's shop.
Presented here is Jen, one of the faces behind Toss's shop, along with the renowned Tally Ho.
"Fifteen years ago, I first spoke with Brion Toss about this rigging. After giving him some material properties on the line I remember he just said, 'Oh yeah!' Now his shop, with Ian at the helm, is at the top of the list for riggers using Dynice Dux. We are really proud to work with them."-John Franta, Colligo Marine
Tally Ho history
Tally Ho, originally called BETTY, has a very unique past. She was built around 1910 and was 47ft 6in LOA, which made it the largest transom-sterned boat. In 1927, she was renamed Tally Ho by her new owner Hugh Grosvenor, Lord Stalbridge.
Some of her accomplishments include winning the 1927 Fastnet Race in storm conditions and it also appears that she completed more than one trans-Atlantic trip!
