WASZP Sailors on the world stage

by WASZP Class 6 Feb 15:29 GMT

2023 Women's International Games Champion Hattie Rogers and 2021 European Champion Matt Beck are heading for AC37.

WASZP sailors all over the world continue to gain selection for both the Youth and Women's Americas Cup to be held in Barcelona in September 2024. We have already seen a number of teams selecting WASZP sailors to be involved in both the youth and women's competitions. Perhaps the toughest and intensive trials have been conducted in the UK for the Athena Pathway Programme, 18-months of intensive on and off water trials culminated in the brilliant news the both Hattie Rogers and Matt Beck have gained selection for AC37.

Many of the teams are currently using the WASZP Class in some form within their pathway and for Talent Identification:

  • Australia
  • Netherlands
  • Sweden
  • Canada
  • Spain
  • Italy
  • UK
  • USA

Are all underpinning their program with the WASZP Class and many more nations are following with their academies. If you would like any more information on how to best build these foiling academies in your country, please do not hesitate to contact us at
