St. Francis Yacht Club invites interested yacht clubs based in the United States to race in an inaugural Sailing League Regatta in San Francisco, California.
The SAILING Champions League organizes high-level club vs. club fleet racing throughout Europe and Australia. Currently over 500 different yacht clubs compete in the series, which is focused on spectator-friendly events.
As the league expands into the United States, St. Francis Yacht Club will be running a two-day pilot event on June 8-9, 2024, in its fleet of J/22s. All clubs are welcome to send a crew to compete at this unique event.
The competition features short races in one-design boats on standardized courses, in this case on the legendary cityfront sailing area between the Golden Gate Bridge and St. Francis Yacht Club. Crews of four, all from the same yacht club, will race in J/22s over two days, with 16 flights planned plus a final series of up to four races. The winner will be qualified for the SAILING Champions League Final in Vilamoura, Portugal, September 26-29, 2024.
Interested clubs are welcomed to contact St. Francis Yacht Club's Race Office at to submit a request for invitation with your name, contact information and the yacht club you intend to represent.
