ILCA UK have been encouraging ILCA 4 sailors to enter into the Masters events and this first summer regatta saw six entries. Joining Sarah Harding and Ann Brand were Tom Flintham, Zena Martin, Jacqui Winship and Kate Morrison - all new to the fleet.

Some of you will know Kate in her marketing and product manager roll at Rooster. Kate and Sarah completed all five races with Kate achieving a full house of bullets.

Given that the ILCA 4s started with the ILCA 7s, it was with some admiration from the ILCA 7 sailors that Kate was seen beating many ILCA 7 sailors to the first windward mark.

But hats off to all the ILCA 4 competitors as this wasn't the easiest conditions to compete in.

Overall it finished Kate Morrison first, Sarah Harding second and Zena Martin third. With the Masters Nationals at Hayling 27th - 29th September ILCAUK would love to see more ILCA 4s on the water.

Of course we need our sponsors as they help make the event happen supplying financial support, prizes and assistance and advice to the membership. We are massively proud to have Ovington Boats, Rooster, Noble Marine, Sailingfast, Southeast sailboats, Wildwind, Fernhurst books and now Tideway Wealth sponsor the class - Thank You.
