The Royal Western Yacht Club in Plymouth, UK announces the official US Partnership of the Newport Yacht Club for the WORLDSTAR '26.

Since 2005 the Newport Yacht Club have been invaluable in their supporting of the OSTAR and TWOSTAR races, not only with berthing of the boats at the finish but also as hosts to the sailors, making them more than welcome when they cross the finishing line in the bay of Rhode Island.

This from the Newport Yacht Club:

"The Newport Yacht Club is honoured to assist the Royal Western Yacht Club's WorldStar 2026. Around alone, or double, non-stop, leaving the three great capes to port. A challenge which is not for the faint at heart. A race for the ages."

Robert Antignano, Commodore
Norman Bailey, Past Commodore

Royal Western Yacht Club Commodore and Race Director for the WorldStar '26 Chris Arscott, said "We have a fabulous relationship with our friends at the Newport Yacht Club who have supported us so well over the years with the OSTAR and TWOSTAR races. It took us no time whatsoever to consider them as our US Partners for the race. The WorldStar has had a great start, with 6 paid entries and several more enquiries who we expect to be made official in the coming weeks. We look forward to seeing many more entrants from the USA to add to the two we already have."

The WORLDSTAR start is scheduled to be at 1200hrs BST on Saturday 26th September 2026.
