Bluegame once again confirms its pioneering spirit at Cannes Yachting Festival

On the docks of Cannes, Bluegame will showcase the world's first application of synchronized stabilization on a multihull, while simultaneously, on the docks of Barcelona, the BGH-HSV, powered exclusively by hydrogen, will be flying at 50 knots alongside the American Magic and Orient Express Racing Team, challengers in the 37th America's Cup.

BGH-HSV (Hyrdrogen Support Vessel)

During last year's edition of the show in Cannes, Bluegame unveiled the first of two vessels designed and built to meet the stringent requirements of the event's protocol, which called for a 10-meter boat powered solely by hydrogen, equipped with foils, and capable of reaching a maximum speed of 50 knots.

Over the following 12 months, the vessel underwent intensive testing to ensure it could sail stably and at high speeds even in unfavorable sea conditions. The sea trials during the Preliminary Regattas in recent weeks, when it was the only vessel in the water despite rough seas, confirmed the project's success. Regardless of the race outcome, Bluegame has already won.

BGM75

Also last year in Cannes, Bluegame presented the BGM75 in a world premiere, the first multihull from the Sanlorenzo group, a luxury motor yacht consistent with the brand's positioning, which "incidentally" has two hulls. The vessel made an impact because, due to its many differences from other catamarans on the market - starting with the length-to-width ratio and its revolutionary layout - it diverges from the existing segment, creating a new one entirely.

The unit on display at this year's edition will also be a world premiere, as it contains an innovation never attempted before. The BGM75 is the first multihull on which two synchronized stabilizers have been installed. To bring this pioneering project to life, Bluegame collaborated with Smart Gyro, a company with years of know-how that shares Bluegame's pioneering spirit. Despite the high complexity and uncertainty of success, Bluegame decided to move forward with the project, fully aware of the crucial importance of the goal, as a successful completion would meet the needs of its expert and sophisticated clientele, who have extremely high expectations for comfort. With no existing mathematical model for catamarans to support the concept, the team first had to explore how to effectively install and operate two gyroscopes in parallel within the catamaran's two hulls. This required significant adjustments to Smart Gyro's control systems and software modifications to meet the project's unique specifications.

The final results of numerous sea trials, for which a dedicated hull was built, were exceptional, demonstrating a significant reduction in rolling compared to unstabilized multihulls. The comfort of the stabilized BGM75 is now comparable to that of a stabilized monohull.

Once again, Bluegame has dared to do the impossible.

Boats on display

The success of the BGH-Hsv and the BGM75 should not overshadow the other models present on Bluegame's exclusive dock within the stand it shares with its parent company, Sanlorenzo:

  • BG74: part of the original BG line, these boats cross multiple segments; they are simultaneously open, walkaround, fisherman, and cruiser. In particular, the BG74, due to its larger size, combines the characteristics of an open boat with the volumes of a flybridge, becoming the missing link between the two segments.
  • BGX63: the second model in the BGX range, a strong evolution of Sanlorenzo's SX range, with a clear Bluegame imprint, designed with the owner in mind, offering ample onboard spaces for usability.
  • BG54: a successful evolution of the BG74, retaining its innovative concept and layout while surprising with space utilization that almost makes you forget its smaller size.
  • BG42: an evergreen in Bluegame's fleet, dubbed a "SUV" (Sport Utility Vessel) at its launch for its multipurpose use - its Big Game fishing version is particularly appreciated - it still embodies the brand's DNA.

The team awaits you from September 10 to 15 at the Cannes Yachting Festival to guide you through the disruptive world of the Bluegamers.
