The Viking Explorers Rally proudly announces the renewal of its sponsorship agreement with key partners, the Grenada Tourism Authority and Port Louis Marina, Camper&Nicholson, for another five years.

This partnership underscores the rally's ongoing success and its commitment to providing a unique event and experience, crossing the Atlantic.

The Viking Explorers Rally has become an important transatlantic event, drawing an exclusive group of 25 boats from around the world. Each year, the rally participants visit the breathtaking landscapes and vibrant culture of the Canary Islands, Cape Verde and Grenada, making it a highlight on the international sailing calendar.

"We are thrilled to continue our collaboration with our main sponsors," said Oliver Solanas Heinrichs, managing director of the event. "Their support has been instrumental in the rally's growth and success. Together, we celebrate not only the thrill of sailing across the Atlantic, but also the incredible destinations that make this journey unforgettable. Port Louis Marina and Grenada are well known for good, professional and friendly services. It is an ideal destination after crossing the Atlantic, with a good established sailing industry and an exclusive marina. The arrival to its shores is just beautiful."

The rally signed their first big agreement with the island back in February 2020, just a month before the Pandemic. Since then, the rally has established a nice collaboration with the Grenada Tourism Authority and the Port Louis Marina team and contribute to the success of the event, together with many other sponsors.

"We are immensely proud of the Viking Explorers Rally and its impact on both the sailing community and the local economy," said Oliver. "By showcasing Grenada as a premier sailing destination, we are helping to promote sustainable tourism, benefiting local businesses and communities."

Upon arriving at Port Louis Marina in Grenada, participants are greeted by the island's lush landscapes, vibrant markets, and warm hospitality. Known as the Spice Island, Grenada is famous for its nutmeg, cinnamon, and other spices, which create a sensory paradise for visitors. The Viking Explorers Rally culminates in a series of festive events that celebrate not only the sailors' accomplishments but also the rich heritage of this beautiful Caribbean destination.

The upcoming 8th edition Viking Explorers Rally will take place from the 8th of December 2024 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and finish the 8th of February 2025 in Grenada. Participants can look forward to an array of exciting activities, including seminars, parties, excursions and opportunities to engage with local culture, before and after crossing the Atlantic Ocean.

With the renewed sponsorship and a commitment to excellence, the Viking Explorers Rally is set to continue with this unique event. Pre-registration for the next rally is open and participants are encouraged to secure their spots early to be part of this rally across the Atlantic, limited to 25 boats.
