by The Cruising Association 9 Sep 17:54 BST 13-22 September 2024

2025 Cruising Almanac Cruising Association, in partnership with Imray, is proud to unveil the 2025 edition of the CA Cruising Almanac.

The 2025 Cruising Almanac introduces a fresh new design and layout, featuring reader-friendly colour coding to easily navigate essential information, including navigational details and contact information.

The Cruising Almanac offers extensive coverage for cruising in Northwest Europe. The 2025 edition continues to provide detailed information from the Shetlands in the north, around the coasts and islands of Great Britain and Ireland, extending on the continent from Bergen through the approaches to the Baltic, down to Gibraltar.

"The CA is delighted to offer members and the broader cruising community our indispensable Cruising Almanac," commented Lucy Gray, CA Chief Operating Officer. "The Almanac has been refined to meet the evolving needs of sailors and motor cruisers and is renowned as a vital resource."

Other significant enhancements made to the layout, includes redesigned and reconfigured chartlets to align closely with the relevant text, ensuring that critical information is always at your fingertips. Chartlets have undergone comprehensive updates, incorporating the latest hydrographic data and insights from local regional experts, providing sailors with the most accurate and up-to-date information.

Additionally, ports of entry are now prominently listed at the start of each relevant chapter, making it easier than ever to find key entry points. The 2025 edition also includes the latest regulations for ports of entry, along with updated EU customs and immigration formalities (subject to the introduction of EES and ETIAS), ensuring you are well-prepared for your trip.

Annually reviewed and meticulously updated to reflect the ever-changing cruising environment, the Cruising Almanac serves as a comprehensive guide for safe passage planning in and out of harbours, rivers, and anchorages, as well as for exploring new waters. Hundreds of Imray chartlets and detailed information on nearly every harbour and countless anchorages, ensure the Cruising Almanac is the perfect foundation for your cruising plans across Northwest Europe.

Published in a convenient A4 size, the Cruising Almanac is designed for easy reference even in tough sea conditions. Passage notes are prominently highlighted within the main text. Tidal stream plans and full tidal details for secondary ports are included alongside the relevant port information, while a supplementary booklet provides tide tables for 47 standard ports.

Cruising Almanac updates

Updates to the Cruising Almanac are published monthly throughout the year to reflect Notices to Mariners, changes in buoyage and lights, and other developments. These corrections are available on the CA website, with a free subscription service for receiving monthly email updates.

Where to buy the Cruising Almanac
