Marine technology company savvy navvy has appointed experienced data and tech leader Keith Binley to join its Board, as the boating navigation app continues to scale up its growth.

Keith Binley, based in the UK, has over two decades of experience in the data and technology sectors and has been part of Savvy Navvy's journey from the outset as an investor. Experienced in founding and leading successful businesses, such as LexisNexis Risk Solutions and Metro Bank plc, Binley joins Savvy Navvy as a Non-Executive Director to support their continuous growth.

"With a track record of leading high-growth tech start-ups, we are super excited for Keith to join our Board. He has from early on seen Savvy Navvy's potential, joining as one of our first investors. As we continue our ambitious growth plans, Keith's experience is perfectly placed in our Board to help us continue to scale," says Jelte Liebrand, CEO and Founder of Savvy Navvy.

Binley, an avid boater and yacht master, today runs JDV Coaching Limited, which among other things, leverages AI and implements appropriate enterprise governance for small, fast-paced, growing businesses.

"Having seen first-hand the innovation and dedication driving Savvy Navvy forward, I'm thrilled to be appointed their Non-Executive Director. This year already, Savvy Navvy has set up a global distributor network further increasing app sales, as we continue to challenge the bigger navigation solutions in the global market. I'm thrilled to be part of their next phase of growth," says Keith Binley.

Savvy Navvy, often referred to as 'Google maps for boats', won a 'Tech SME of the Year' award earlier this month. Offering a revolutionary, easy-to-use app that brings everything leisure boaters need for a seamless boating experience - Savvy Navvy solves vital navigation issues for boaters, kayakers, paddleboarders and jet-skiers. Unlike any other boating navigation solution, Savvy Navvy provides smart routing—giving users the optimal route and dynamic ETAs based on real-time data: departure time, chart information, weather conditions, tide, boat specifications and local regulations. Points of interest, including marina information, marine services and local businesses are also shown in the app helping users plan their journeys both online and offline.

Keith Binley is replacing Thomas Cape on Savvy Navvy's Board, who stepped down as a NED earlier this month to pursue other career opportunities.
