Vendée Globe Wednesday Morning Update - Dodging the Doldrums

Within the next few hours the leaders in the Vendée Globe will enter the Doldrums, the Intertropical Convergence Zone between the weather systems in the North and South Atlantic, which is notoriously fickle and unpredictable.

A pack of 12 skippers have broken away, with Sam Goodchild on Vulnerable continuing to lead the charge. Will he be able to maintain this throughout the day?
