For over six decades, Contest Yachts has been making sailors' cruising dreams come true.

And with circumnavigation under sail still high on many yachting enthusiasts' bucket list, this family run Dutch boat builder will be showcasing a selection of its luxury performance bluewater cruising yachts at the boot Düsseldorf boat show, 18-26 January 2025.

Combining the best of traditional Dutch craftmanship with modern innovation, Contest crafts a limited number of performance focused yachts capable of making fast, safe passage across vast oceans while being equally at home anchored in a secluded cove or plugged into a marina entertaining family and friends.

Explore a snapshot of its remarkable range at this year's boot Düsseldorf boat show, including the recently launched Contest 63CS.

Contest 63CS

Designed for short-handed high-performance cruising, this luxury 19-metre sailing yacht will be presented by the expert teams from Contest Yachts and Contest Yachts UK.

"With the Contest 63CS, Contest has created exceptional new interior volume to offer extremely spacious accommodation," says Oliver Windsor, Brand Manager at Contest Yachts UK.

"The identical port and starboard double VIP guest suites forward of the saloon, each will full five-star facilities, are something usually only seen on a much larger yacht.

"As with all Contest's yachts, the 63CS is set up and engineered for sailing with just family or friends, no crew required, so on deck it's about safe, smart sailing with simple but sophisticated short-handed systems.

"All lines lead right back to the 'working' cockpit for total control, while the second leisure cockpit allows those not involved in the action to relax and enjoy luxury performance cruising at its best."

Highlighting its pedigree, the Contest 63CS has been nominated for European Yacht of the Year 2025, and as Bluewater Cruiser of the Year at the British Yachting Awards.

Joining the Contest 63CS at Europe's largest indoor boat show will be the award-winning Contest 55CS and twin aft cabin Contest 49CS.

Contest 55CS

With stylish design and timeless appeal, the 17-metre Contest 55CS truly showcases Contest's talent for combining aesthetics and practicality. The advanced hull form optimises performance, stability and volume, while the two-section cockpit, with a deep-seated forward leisure cockpit connected to a twin helm station aft, further enhances onboard safety and security.

Incorporating detailing from the larger yachts in the range, onboard accommodation comprises an enlarged aft master suite and spacious bathroom, complete with separate shower and toilet. Forward, there is a VIP suite with island berth, and an optional third cabin can be specified with bunks or as office or workroom.

Contest 49CS

The stunning semi-custom 15-metre Contest 49CS will be also be available to view throughout the show.

Ideal for family cruising, everything onboard the Contest 49CS has been thoughtfully designed to offer a safer, more comfortable on-water sailing experience, from the stepped aft cockpit and forward steering positions to the spacious, more equally sized cabins below decks.

Displaying incredible onboard space, both above and below deck, the Contest 49CS is optimised for easy and enjoyable off-wind sailing. The integral carbon fibre A-frame at the bow incorporates a hydraulic furler, while a tender garage keeps the decks uncluttered without the need for davits, and keeps the weight lower down for increased stability, safety and style.

Innovative design, styling and outfitting continues in the semi-customisable interior, with the wider waterline beam and taller topsides aft boosting internal volume. This amplified onboard space offers a variety of layout options, including doubles as well as twin berths in the aft cabins, and a two-sided longitudinal corridor galley - something rarely seen onboard a yacht with an aft cockpit.

Creating the perfect balance between ease of sailing, performance and onboard luxury, the Contest 63CS, 55CS and 49CS will be available to view throughout the show in Hall 16, stand C54.
