2024 NSW 13ft Skiff State Championship

by Adam Lucius 2 Dec 2024 05:36 GMT

A quartet of podium finishes landed Harken (Heidi Bates/Orlando Sadlik) a maiden NSW 13ft Skiff State Title.

The Manly boat grabbed a third on Saturday and backed it up with a win and a second on Sunday to clear out from runner-up Cybertechgroup.org (Ash Napper/Theo Franklin), SailMedia (Ben Milham/Liam Karunaratne) and Botany Scaffold (Sophie Hart/Hugh Skeen).

"It's only our second season in the 13s so it's pretty exciting," Bates said. "We weren't sure if we'd done enough to win it with one race to go, but when that was called off it left us in the lead. "Orlando sailed really well and now we're hoping we can do it all again

Topping off a win in the last heat, SailMedia also took out the overall handicap results.
