Bayliss Boatworks new construction updates
by Bayliss Boatworks 3 Dec 20:20 GMT
With the mezzanine buildout complete on
Big Deal
, the paint team has started applying primer to the area. The exterior carpentry team remains hard at work in the cockpit and bridge, recently installing coverboards and making significant progress on the bridge console.
Meanwhile, in the lower accommodations, the interior crew installed cabinetry in the heads, while additional cabinetry items are awaiting finish application. Wiring in the main panel is also well underway, ensuring seamless integration of all onboard electrical and mechanical systems.

The exterior crew has been busy on
Tarheel
, installing the half-round along the cabin exterior and the lazarette deck in the cockpit, while also making steady progress on the bridge buildout. The paint team has primed the storage areas beneath the port and starboard seating.
Inside, with the salon plenums now in place, the interior carpentry team has begun fitting cabinetry mockups in the salon and galley. Below deck, chiller lines are installed, and wire runs are complete, moving the project closer to its next phase.

The hull carpentry team continues to make significant progress up forward on
Mama Seata
, with the machine tunnel buildout in full swing and the forward fuel tank surround now glassed. Additionally, the engine room is fully glassed, and supports have been installed between the stringers in the engine room aisleway. The bilge box buildout has begun, and the bilge discharge has been installed aft. On the hull bottom, bow thruster fairing is being installed around the bow thruster tube.
Up next, our hull carpentry crew will begin fabricating the engine room battery boxes, taking another step toward finalizing the engine room buildout as we eagerly anticipate the engine installation scheduled for early 2025!

The build of the
Bayliss 64'
has officially begun! Our skilled hull carpentry team started by assembling the cabin and flybridge jigs separately, followed by the installation of Corecell to the exterior of both the cabin and bridge. After completing the glassing and sanding process, Awlfair was applied, and the bridge was securely mounted to the cabin. Once fairing was complete, the cabin was moved outdoors to create space for the construction of the hull frame and the installation of the necessary jigs.
After our CNC department cut the hull jigs and the hull frame was installed, the hull carpentry crew quickly secured the jigs to the frame. The stringers and chine have since been installed and laminated to the hull surround.
