The NMMA's Recreational Boating Industry Monthly Data Summary for December 2024 is now available for download.

Month to month, economic indicators included in the report remain relatively unchanged with most maintaining their "caution" status. The U.S. Manufacturing PMI Index saw a slight improvement to 47.3%, up 0.2%, with increased production activity. Most notably is the decline in the Federal Funds Rate, marking its first drop since August 2023. This decline may reduce borrowing costs, potentially encouraging consumers to purchase larger items like boats.

Azimut strengthens its presence on the West Coast by partnering with Silver Seas Yachts, renowned for its long-standing professionalism and a member of the MarineMax network since 2020. Azimut Yachts and Silver Seas Yachts are poised to commence their new collaboration on the West Coast of the United States, enhancing the Shipyard's presence in a strategic area of the American yachting market to a higher level.

Aquila Power Catamarans is pleased to announce CFR Yacht Sales, in partnership with boating veteran Mario Garcia Muxo, as its newest official dealer in Puerto Rico. With a history of representing prestigious brands such as Viking, Princess Yachts, and Valhalla Boatworks, CFR has earned a stellar reputation in Puerto Rico's boating community.

Cruisers Yachts has announced that MarineMax will now be the authorized dealer for several key regions in the Southern United States. As of today, MarineMax will represent Cruisers Yachts in the Florida Panhandle, West Florida, Eastern Texas, and Alabama in eleven locations. This will allow luxury yacht enthusiasts in these areas to access the latest models from Cruisers Yachts and will have access to MarineMax's unparalleled customer support.

Elsewhere, Vision Marine Technologies (Nasdaq: VMAR), a pioneer in electric marine propulsion, has announced a strategic partnership with Armada Pontoons, a renowned manufacturer of high-quality pontoon boats based in Quebec, Canada. This collaboration introduces a new electric pontoon boat designed to meet the growing demand for eco-friendly, regulation-compliant, and competitively priced boating solutions for North America's vast network of lakes.

As a recognized leader setting the standard for excellence in the ownership and operations of marinas, Suntex's full-scale implementation of Storable's marina products establishes a new benchmark for operational excellence in the recreational marine industry.

Meanwhile Suntex Marina Investors announced this week that it has been contracted to develop The Tribute Marina located within the master planned community known as The Tribute along the eastern shoreline of Lake Lewisville, on Wynnewood Peninsula in The Colony, Texas.
