After a shocking run of bad luck with the weather, the Bartley Beast lives on. A somewhat refreshed event will kick off on Saturday 15th February and marks the start of this reborn two-day series. With the early signs of improving weather we are hopeful that this time we can get some races away.

We are delighted to be sponsored by Allen for this two-day, four-race series. Much as before we will be having separate races for single and double handed boats, so there is still a fantastic opportunity for some top racing before the regular class open circuits get going.

Both days will comprise of two handicap races for each of the single and double handed fleets. Gates will be open by 09:30, and the start at 11:00.

As always, the galley will be open, and you'll be in for some top racing, so why not sign on for what should be a great event.

Full details and online registration can be found on the Bartley Sailing Club website: www.bartleysailingclub.com/event/BartleyBeast3-4

The final event will be held on 8th March 2025, so get it in your diary.

Summary of the Series:

  • Location: Bartley SC, Genners Lane, Birmingham
  • Each event comprises 2 races per day for single handers and 2 races per day for double handers
  • The individual events build to a 2 Day series over 2 months with all races to count for the series
  • Entry is only £15 for single handers per day and £20 for double handers per day
  • Event dates are: 15th Feb 2025, 8th March 2025
