The British Moth Open Meeting was held on the 8th September in a gusty and variable force 3 wind. Tim Hogan had established a short lead by the end of the first lap. After that he had a very close tussle with Tim Davison who eventually won with Ed Chaplin 3rd.
In the 2nd race Hogan again went into the lead, this time not to be caught. Sandy Gass was 2nd and Davison 3rd.
The third race started in a freshening wind with Tim Hogan confident that former cup winner Sandy Gass could not now win. However a determined Gass sailed off into the lead never to be challenged, with Hogan 2nd and Davison 3rd.
The very close results were split by the third race positions resulting in a win for Gass.
