Icicle Series at Tees and Hartlepool Yacht Club - Week 1

The 2001 Icicle series hosted by Tees and Hartlepool yacht Club got off to a blustery start this weekend. The conditions did not affect todays winner, Dave Spensley, who revelled in the conditions to score two first places. There were many who were not so fortunate and many near misses (and some a bit closer) were reported from the confines of the Jackson dock in Hartlepool. The series consists of 16 races over the 8 weekends leading up to Christmas, with 9 races to count for overall honours.
